Frequently asked questions
Do I need to create an account?
No. Rootling has no accounts or sign-up. You choose a first name and age band for your child on-device, and that's it.
Does Rootling work offline?
Yes. Learning sessions download once and then keep working without an internet connection.
How do I open the grown-ups' area?
Tap For grown-ups (with a lock) at the top right of the home screen or the “Who's learning today?” screen. In older versions of the app, tap the round picture with your child's initial at the top right instead. Then press and hold the circle for 3 seconds and enter your birth year. The grown-ups' area shows what your child has practised and lets you manage learning packs and your data. The check keeps curious little hands out; it isn't a password.
Is my child's data collected or shared?
No. Rootling has no ads, no analytics, and no third-party trackers of any kind. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How do I delete my data?
In the app, open the grown-ups' area, then Your data → Delete my data. If you no longer have the app, see how to delete your data. If your app has no Your data section, it keeps everything on your phone, and uninstalling the app removes it all.
