Delete your Rootling data

This page is for families who use Rootling, the early-childhood learning app made by Trevexs Technology Ltd, Kampala, Uganda.

In the app

• Tap For grown-ups (with a lock) at the top right of the app, and complete the short adult check.
• Tap Your data, then Delete my data.
• Read what will be deleted, complete the adult check again and confirm. You'll see a reference code, such as K7M-4QX. Keep it if you want to ask us about the request.
• If you like, turn on Also remove everything from this phone to remove learner profiles, progress and downloaded packs from the phone too.

The request is saved on the phone and sent to us when the phone is online. Your requests and their status are listed under Your data, and the app shows when deletion is complete.

By email, without the app

If you no longer have the app, or can't open it, email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my Rootling data". Include:

• your app ID (shown in the app under Your data), or the reference code of a request you made in the app;
• how we can reply to you.

If you don't have either code, tell us so and we'll help. We only use what you send us to find and delete your family's data, and we never ask for your child's name.

What gets deleted

• Everything we hold about your family: learning records, learner profiles, the record of your agreement, and download and app-health records, on our servers and at our service providers.
• We keep only a short record that a deletion happened (the date and reference code), with no personal data.
• If you keep using Rootling afterwards, you start fresh. Nothing sent later can be linked to what was deleted.

Read the full details in our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. If your app does not show a "Before you start" screen, it keeps everything on your phone, and uninstalling the app removes it all.
